I’m back again with another great budget beauty product! Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll ($2.49) is a blush I’ve been reaching for a lot recently thanks to it’s flattering shade and gorgeous texture.

Essence Babydoll is a muted peachy pink with a golden sheen. It’s in the same color family as NARS Amour, however Babydoll is lighter.
The thing that really blew me away about this blush is how soft the powder is. It’s the kind of texture I would expect from Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier, not Essence. And you know what? That’s awesome!

The packaging isn’t a work of art, but it’s reasonably pretty and definitely functional. Part of me wishes for a mirror in the lid, but that would ruin the futuristic vibe of the clear compact.
This budget blush would be perfect for teens or for women on-the-go. Wouldn’t it be great to have a separate makeup bag for your purse that didn’t cost an arm and a leg? I’m pretty sure you could get everything you need for under $25. Hmm… post idea is forming!
Bottom Line: Essence Babydoll is a great everyday blush that won’t break the bank.

Hi there!! You can use their eyeshadows as blushes as well. Essence “44 It’s up to you” (the red one) looks great, so does ” 25 Go all Girlie” a sort of Benefit’s Dandelion and “43 Mystic Lemon” looks just like NARS Albatross.
Great idea! Thanks for the tip.
I actually have an “emergency” makeup bag in my desk at work that contains only e.l.f. products (concealer, powder, cream blush, 2 eyeshadow quads, cream eyeshadow/eyeliner duo, and mascara). Everything except the cram eyeshadow/eyeliner was $1, the eyeliner was $3. So $9 total! Though now I may have to fill it with Essence products….
