Chanel Rouge Coco Shine 63 Rebelle

Happy 4th of July to all my American readers! Today I’m celebrating in style with Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Rebelle ($32.00).

Rebelle is a warm reddish coral that works as a ‘casual red’ on my fair skin. Polarbelle featured Rebelle in her guest review a few months ago, and on her more tan skin it registers as a pinky coral.

Have you ever seen something so lovely as a stack of Chanel lipsticks? Unfortunately most of these belong to my mother (who is busy testing a lash growth serum for the blog right now!) That’s okay, I can still pretend they’re all mine for a day.

Rouge Coco Shine
It should be no surprise that I’m loving the sheer, glossy formula of the Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks. They only last a few hours, however the darker shades leave a bit of color behind once the gloss wears off. Unfortunately the glossiness requires a softer bullet, so I imagine you’ll get through a tube faster than usual.

One thing Chanel knows how to do right is luxury, and that’s what you’ll get with the sleek black and gold packaging. The caps lock into place with a satisfying click. Rouge Coco Shines have the same floral (perhaps rose?) scent as the regular Rouge Coco line, however it isn’t very noticeable after you apply.

Bottom Line: Rouge Coco Shine Lipsticks sit firmly in the splurge category at $32 each. That said, they’re a glorious splurge item if you have extra spending money.
