My Travel Essentials

While I was unpacking I made a mental list of must-have products for future trips. I hope you’ll find them useful for your summer travels! My mom also has a wonderful tip to share: keep safety pins on the zipper pull of your cosmetic bag. You’ll inevitably need one, and it’s an easy way to remember where they are.

The long flights would not have been bearable without my Colgate Wisp Mini Toothbrushes ($6.99 for 16). They did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth and leaving my mouth minty fresh.

The amount of walking I did on this trip was astounding, and my feet were not up to the challenge. I developed serious blisters that were only helped by these Compeed Blister Plasters (£4.49 for a mix pack). They shielded and cushioned my blisters so I was able to keep walking around without so much pain. Band-Aid sells a similar product in the USA for $4.19.

Humidity and frequent rain showers left my hair looking gross, so I used a hair doughnut (£4.60) and a travel-size Batiste Dry Shampoo (£1.52) to create neat, stylish buns.

Public restrooms are hard to come by in a city, but I didn’t want to walk around with dirty hands. I found these Cleansing Handy Wipes on a 2 for £1.50 rack and loved the tea tree oil scent.

Last but not least, my beloved Lanolips 101 Ointment (£11.22). This served as lip balm, cuticle moisturizer, and even smoothed my rough elbows one evening.

I’ve been wanting to try the Wisp waterless toothbrushes, maybe now I will. I just wanted to wait and see if there were lovers of the product out there.

They’re awesome! I’ve tried similar products in the past that didn’t leave my teeth feeling very clean but the plastic bristles on the Wisps worked really well.

My must haves would be a hardcore hand sanitizer such as Sterilium cause I m a bit of a germophobic, korres lip butter and a mini solution for my contacts or eye drops.
I used to follow your blog some time ago and then something happened to my account, I’m so glad I found you again through Nouveau Cheap! Love this blog

You mean each pack is 40p? That’s quite a deal! I should check dollar stores around here.
