MAC Pink Cult Blush

I am so, so sorry to post this review after Jeanius has gone, but honestly, who can keep up with MAC collections lately? I certainly can’t. The good news is that if you love this blush, it’s still available on the MAC website. You can put away your pitchforks now!

Pink Cult is a dusty rose on my fair skin, and it’s equally gorgeous on Temptalia’s medium skin. It has great color payoff, so it will probably work on dark skin as well. I saw a lot of people compare it to the now discontinued MAC Cute blush, which isn’t true at all. They look kind of similar in the pan, but nowhere near close when swatched.

I swatched all of them the same way (apart from the Pink Cult swatch being wider) and clearly there is a huge different in color payoff. I don’t think you could ever build up MAC Cute (a Sheertone blush) to the level of Pink Cult (a Matte blush).

I don’t think there’s much to say about Pink Cult apart from the fact that I LOVE it. It’s such a happy shade of pink without being too in your face. It looks sort of blah in the pan, but don’t let that fool you.

    I think this shade looks great on my uber-dark skin, too. (It’s become a personal favorite pretty quickly).

    Wow, that is amazing! We were obviously separated at birth (we’ll gloss over my agedness ;) ). It’s good that it’s still on the website as Jeanius has vanished from the UK website already. Such an incredible turnover speed! It’s a lovely blusher and I think it suits you very well, hopefully this is one that will return as a re-promote.

      Hahaha who are you kidding, you probably look younger than me! I don’t know if it’s still on the website as of today… kicking myself for delaying the review. I just can’t keep up with new collections every 2 weeks.

      I have a sneaking suspicion that I might find a dupe in Bobbi Brown, will do some swatching and post about it if I find one.
