Sleek Makeup Rose Gold Blush Review

Today I’m kicking off a new series entitled “Things you can’t have unless you’re British”… okay it’s not really a series. I just want to show off the lovely things Modesty Brown sent me :)

Sleek Makeup Rose Gold Blush was one of the items Jane picked for me, and I have to say her choice was spot on! Rose Gold is a smooth, pigmented, pinky-peach blush with a bit of gold frost running through. It reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm, although I can’t make a direct comparison since I don’t own it.

As you can see, this blush has great payoff. For this picture I merely tapped my MAC 168 brush into the powder and dusted it onto my cheeks. I would compare the pigmentation to NARS, which are widely considered some of the best blushes on the market. I took a flash photo to help show the frost, however it’s not coming across very well. It’s subtle enough that it really only shows when you turn and your cheek catches the light.

The packaging is sleek (see what I did there?) but sometimes difficult to open. Although it appears to be smaller than a NARS blush, it contains nearly twice as much product, making it an even better deal than I already thought.

Overall: A true drugstore gem from the UK! This blush would be flattering on many skintones.

Availability: Sleek Makeup is available in UK drugstores or internationally via their website.
