Other than the MAC Cremesheen Glasses, Yves Saint Laurent Pure Glosses are the only gloss I’ll wear. They’re sheer, non-sticky, moisturizing, and they have an intoxicating mango scent. Every time I wear these it’s like a having a fruity tropical drink (sans calories). I’m a big fan of the brush applicator and the luxe packaging as well.
YSL promises high shine with these, but it’s easy to apply a thin layer for a more natural look. The only reason these don’t earn an A rating is the whopping $30 cost. As such, I only have #2 Pure Rose. It’s milky pink – everything I wanted MAC Florabundance to be.
YSL recently added several shades to the line; I can’t wait to buy #8 Pure Watermelon (sheer orangey coral). For shimmer lovers, try the YSL Golden Glosses. They have the same great formula with real 24K gold sparkles.
Bottom Line: A perfect treat for when you deserve something nice. I’ll definitely repurchase from this line.
