I’m a big advocate of playing with makeup. Sure it’s a bit childish, but I enjoy it – I think of it as grownup art time. Tonight I tried a slightly different brow look and MAC Lady Bug lipstick ($14.50), which I got for free with my Back 2 MAC empties.

I’m super excited about my first red lipstick. I’ve been told this is a good ‘beginner’ red because it’s sheer, buildable, and universally flattering. I love it! I can see myself wearing this on a special occasion with a simple dress. It’s very moisturizing and when it wears off you just have a little tinge of red to your lips, sort of like a stain.
I like this look because it’s bolder than normal but still simple. I need to work on my liner application, though! I’d love to perfect the outer corner flick.

Do you like to experiment with makeup?

Wow, Lady Bug looks beautiful on you! I like experimenting with make-up too, it's so much fun and a great way to try out new looks and improve my application skills.
Thanks! Yeah, I enjoy my makeup play time. I'm out of town right now and really missing my magnifying mirror and "vanity"
